Privacy Policy — CareShelf: Med Reminders

Last updated: 2 August 2026

Health data stays on your iPhone

CareShelf makes no network requests. Care profiles, medications, schedules, dose history, pill counts and the caregiver list are stored on your device and are not uploaded to any server.

Label scanning

Scanning a pharmacy label uses Apple's on-device text recognition on a photograph you capture or choose. The image and the recognised text stay on your iPhone. CareShelf records the strength and directions exactly as you enter or scan them; it does not look them up in a drug database.

Caregivers

The caregiver list is a record kept on your own device. Because the app sends nothing to a server, a caregiver using another phone cannot see a profile you created.

Reminders

Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your iPhone. No reminder passes through a server.

Purchases

If you subscribe, Apple processes the StoreKit subscription and shares only the purchase state. We never receive your card details.

What we do not collect

CareShelf does not use advertising SDKs, third-party analytics SDKs, contact upload, microphone access, location or cross-app tracking, and does not sell or share personal data.

Delete data

Use Delete all data in Settings, or delete the app from your iPhone. Email nora@halehearth.com for help.

Not medical advice

CareShelf helps you track and remember medications. It does not give medical advice, identify medications, check interactions, or tell anyone to change a dose. Ask a doctor or pharmacist about dosing and safety, and never rely on an app alone for a critical dose.
